Subject: 2 questions My SRS light is staying on and my Clutch pedal is losing play no tension spongy 92 9000 Turbo, 5 speed.
Help my dealer has reset / cleared the error codes for my SRS light 2x now after about a week it starts to flash and then about 5 Min later stays on solid. He stated he thinks it is a bad SRS unit about an $800.00 part Has anyone else experienced this on their 9000, The Seat Belt Restraint light staying on and any other reasons this may be happening., other then the unit is bad?
2nd my clutch pedal loses it's play completely after about a week, it goes to the floor and there is no return tension, this after having the fluid refilled for the 'slave unit' / cylinder, which is I am told in the transmission housing itself, can someone go into more detail here, what has to be filled for this to come back I had my car in for service and they said the fluid was completely out, fluid in what was out?? they said if it happens again I would need to have the slave cylinder replaced / rebuilt sorry for my ignorance, on this but no knowledge of this system here, it may be cold related.. it was fine for a week then it got real cold here last night and this morning I noticed the same symptoms appearing again, it is a gradual process of losing it's play pedal kind of drops down halfway then I can push it to the floor, and it sticks there,,, it is hard to shift at all when this happens, approx cost to repair?? my question is what is this entire process about the 'slave cylinder' what about the master cylinder is there one for this also.. thanks..
