Subject: Cool Numbered SOC02 tickets on sale 15 March!

Here's the deal: on 15 March, the SOC02 staff will put several SOC02 tickets
up for bids on eBay. The starting bid will be $100, a $25 savings over your
normal ticket price. Should you be the only bidder, congratulations! You
just got a grerat deal! However, should the bids start going up, the
difference between the starting price and and the actual winning bid,
whatever that may be, will be donated to the SOC02's charity (which this
year we have decided will be the Humane Society) so bid high, bid often for
a fantastic cause!
Keep in mind that the 'cool numbers' up for grabs aren't only your Ticket
Number, but also the number that you will have on the rally plate you'll get
when you arrive at the show. Every car in attendance will be issued a 13'
wide plastic rally plate and will be required to have it displayed on the
bumper or in the window at all times - mainly this will be to help track
photos for the concours slide show on Saturday night and at other events,
but will also serve as a 'who's who' guide, since we'll print a list of
names matching the numbers in the program book! That way if you see a car
you like, you can open your program and see who's car it is. If you are
bringing multiple cars to the show, they will be lettered as well, i.e.
900a, 900b, 900c, etc.
The numbers that will be put up for bids will be: 1, 9, 92, 93, 95, 96, 97,
99, 900, and 9000.
So there you have it! If you've been holding out for a special numbered
ticket, they'll go on sale 15 March on eBay! I wouldn't suggest holding out
for your Autocross and Track Days tickets, though, those are going fast at
www.saabconvention.org!
