=================
read the bulletin board section on saabnet.com. there is stuff about the sid
vertical stipe-out problem.

it has to do with the contacts on the sid display being connected with a
kind of tape-and-compress mickey mouse system. i have the same problem I
tried putting a little thicker tape on top of what was there in order to
compress the contacts a little harder. I think it helped a bit (ie. i have 2
or 3 stripes out on a bad day instead of 3 or 4), but i'd be curious if
anyone else REALLY solved this problem. Maybe I didn't put enough tape there
to really push it down. Did anybody else solve this sucker?
