=================
The only location I could find in terms of a fuse was in position #30 on the
fuse panel. The fuse checked good, but I could not detect any current on the
terminals of the fuse slot. I thought there might be an inline elsewhere so
I have been searching under the back seat area. No luck. It would appear to
me that I should have at least been able to detect current on the back side
of the fuse box. I removed it to identify the proper color coding.
I'm not that familiar with the system, I guess I am spoiled. I've had
numerous Volvo's and I have another '87 900 with 225K and have had no
problems with the injection system prior to this situation.
Any suggestions? Should I attempt to apply current directly to the pump
to determine if it is good? The Haynes manual indicates the ECU is located
at the kick panel on the passenger side, it appears that mine resides on the
inside of the fender on the drivers side. Do I need to clean the contacts?
The fuel pump relay located, on the fender location same as the ECU, has 2
yellow wires that appear to be going to the fuse box, but at position #30
there are only gray w
where the change was made, yellow to gray, or how the position of #30 was
getting power. I didn't pull the fuse panel completely out for obvious
reasons.
ANY SUGGESTIONS?
thanks,don
