Some local autox'ers spray Pam on their wheels before racing, which makes removing the brake dust much easier. I find a good coating of wax really helps on all the wheels on my cars... drag wheels and autox wheels.
Also, using a bottle brush helps me reach inside the wheels.
FWIW, I never use any of the OTS cleaners out there. I've never seen any that really work as advertised.
