Subject: Re: Rain X window wax? ================= I used Rain-X for a while on my Mini in the early 1970s and was quite impressed with it - especially in snow and very heavy rain or tyre-splash. However, I later decided that the haze when travelling at low speeds was too much of a disadvantage and I stopped using it on the windscreen. I still use it for mirrors and side and rear windows.
My impression is that it may have worked better then than it does now. Whether this is because the formulation has had to be changed to comply with regulations, or because it works better on toughened glass (which my Mini had) than on laminated glass - or whether this impression is entirely erroneous - I couldn't say!
