Saab have a much better idea for reducing temperature. The temperature sender unit can be replaced so that the fan(s) click on at a lower temperature. My Saab master tech did this to my C900 16V last year, and now the fan(s) come on when the needle gets just over half way. Apparently studies by Saab have shown that making this adjustment is good for engine longevity etc... (told to me my master tech). This job only cost me AU$30.00. Should be cheaper in the USA.
