Subject: 900 classic windshield washer problem
=================
my 88 900 has suddenly stopped spritzing. if i disconnect the electrical lead
to the washer pump, it is getting 12V from the circuit when i pull the stalk.
if i connect the pump to 12V from a battery charger, it runs great, and will
wash downB the exhaust manifold just fine. but when all is connected up,
nothing happens, not even any wiper action in the wash mode. when the washer
is disconnected from the circuit, the wipers will start and cycle when i hit
wash on the stalk/

so, is the washer pump drawing so much current that it kills the whole
circuit? anybody have any experience with tracking down this electrical
gremlin?

thnx..joe in NJ
