Nokia vs Nokian...

Hello again,
Nokia, the Finnish company (est. 1898), started with tyres and rubber boots. The name 'Nokia', is actually a town in central Finland and there is nothing Japanese about it :-) . When Nokia expanded the operation into electronics etc. and the cellular phones started to sell well, they decided to concentrate on the electronics and sold all the other divisions. However, the name Nokian, is Finnish for Nokias. So, Nokian tyres is actually Tyres of Nokia. But the company is different. 'Hakkapeliitta' is the name of an ancient Finnish warrior...
