The water pump is at the firewall-end of the engine bay. That's essentially the 'front' of the engine. You may be looking at a hose/radiator problem, or something else towards the front of the car.
Actually, since it's a turbo, a likely culprit for leakage is the o-ring on the engine-side of the coolant return pipe from the turbocharger. My brother used to have a '91 9000 turbo that leaked from this o-ring. Also check the coolant supply line to the turbo.
