big bang
Posted by MalcolmJeffcock (more from MalcolmJeffcock) on Sat, 23 Oct 1999 20:43:15
I have a 9000 Turbo, 1988. I drove on the highway today about 60 miles in heavy rain. I stopped for about 2 hours and when I got back in the car it acted a bit hesitant like it was wet....still raining. I stopped at a Wal Mart for ignition wire drying spray and when I tried to start the car, firsty noticed gas on the wet pavement. I looked about engine bay and saw a tube off at the back/top of engine. Tried to start the car -big bang- oil now on the ground.
Had the vehicle flat bedded beck home, well to a mechanic that was recommended. Any ideas ? perhaps timing chain ?
