No clutch back pressure
Posted by James Montreuil (E-mail) (more from James Montreuil (E-mail)) on Mon, 13 Dec 1999 09:09:12
Having trouble with the clutch and the problems started quite suddenly as
the clutch and transmission were working very well the day before. When
engaging the clutch the pedal would stick halfway up on the release and I
would have to pull it back up with my toe. Shifting otherwise was normal.

I tried to bleed the clutch but the fluid had turned black and while pumping
the clutch pedal small amounts of fluid would come out but mostly air. I
have no pressure at all now on the clutch pedal.

Master cylinder, clutch, pressure plate and throwout bearing were replaced
about 25,000 miles ago.

Thanks for your time,

James
