Viggen stops St. Louis Auto Show... well, OK, that's a stretch.

In case anyone's interested... I just got back from the St. Louis Auto Show, and as expected, Saab had its finest on hand for everyone to poke and prod at, and curiously they were one of the only makes to leave the batteries connected. This turned out to be a good idea, I think. There was a silver Viggen, looking its best with its large, low-profile, aggressive-looking wheels that was attracting quite a bit of attention. One thing I've noticed after living in St. Louis for the past 4 months (having moved from Portland, Maine) is that Saabs seem to be nearly unheard of here, but after seeing the somewhat surprised reactions on people's faces as they looked over the Viggen, I could believe that this might change for the better soon. And if it wasn't attracting enough attention already, my girlfriend got in and with doors and windows shut, cranked up the radio with something nice and basey. The pulsing base really turned heads. Within a minute there was a serious crowd around it! Fun to watch. There was an Aero there too, but it just looked so conservative in comparison to the Viggen that few people noticed.
