I'm very frustrated and am = > > thinking of becoming an 'Former-Saab Owner'.=20 > If this car has been sitting for a while (months), the air flow sensor or the fuel regulator could be stuck, in which case the injectors are delivering a fixed, too great amount of fuel at cranking speeds. Pull off the rubber bellows between the air flow sensor and the throttle (or turbo). Make sure the plate moves up and down freely. If there's pressure in the fuel system you should feel resistance to pulling it up (by the bolt head in the center). You ccna also pull the injectors out and energize the pump by jumpinng the relay (top horizontal connector to bottom verticle one). Then when you lift the plate you should get a smooth flow from the injectors, which should stop when you release it. (CAUTION - FIRE HAZARD FROM ATOMIZED FUEL!!!)
Good luck John
