Ya, the dealership somehow know/guess who submitted the bad survey.
I once wrote in a comment (giving a perfect score anyways) that they "communicate to me" too much about the survey scores (the service manager repeatedly "reminded me" that the score was very very important to him. He reminded me right after the service, after walking me to my car, and in a followup call the next day, and in a hand written postcard/letter the next week!)
After my comment, they never "reminded me" again in my later services.
Knowing this, I've never gave them less than a perfect score, even though I think their mechanic is sub-par (ok, I think he's next to useless....). This helped me get a goodwill warranty for 2 interior repairs last year.. (well, my arguement was that it wasn't a powertrain/drive component, and so it should be covered under the warranty TIME period instead of the mileage limit (which I was over after less than 2 years)
