There have been a few previous threads of discussion regarding opinons (both user/manufacturer) as to which type of fuel to put in the 9-3SS (regular/mid-grade/premium unleaded, Linear vs Arc/Vector).

Understanding what is 'recommended' by Saab for these vehicles, engine knock consideration etc, etc, I would like to get some feedback from 9-3SS owners who have tried to compare performance levels of their vehicles by running different octane rated fuels.

Have you noticed any performance degradation, fuel economy changes, etc???

I am currently putting my Arc through its paces. I do about 60/40 split between interstate vs. city driving with about 125 miles driven per day. I am getting great performance from the vehicle - right at 31mpg average and I don't baby her at all on the interstate. I am currently running premium (91) unleaded but will be switching over to 87 here shortly.

I personally don't think I am going to see any huge difference between the two but I would like to get some feedback from other 9-3 owners on this...
