03 9-3 SS Problems

I have been reading the posts here and corresponding with Saab about some of the minor issues I have been having with my 03 93 SS. Today I went to talk to my salesperson and a sales manager. I politely asked to bring the owner, general sales manager, and a Saab representative together to discuss a repair or replace option later this week.
On 5/2 the car quit while I was driving it. Very unnerving, to be doing 60 mph and have the engine shut itself off. It has done this twice before, both while starting and not driving. I had a brake system failure in late April which took the car out of service for four days. The intermittent SID displays (various electrical system, brake system, and gearbox malfunction alerts) which clear after a restart. And the radio locking up while changing between CDX and radio and moving presets on me.
I know there is new radio firmware, a Trionic 8 software upgrade, and I've read about the 30-pin connector near the battery that is supposed to fix some of the teething issues. I am curious if anyone has had success in getting the issues resolved and a reliable vehicle if you have had one of the more troublesome issues.
Has anyone started any sort of process like this? I have read some very positive things about the car but I have also seen others with problems that go beyond the definition of a standard Saab quirk. I am now logging every time anything strange happens with the vehicle and the little notepad in the glove box is filling up rather quickly.
