2.0T hits the max torque of 300Nm at 2500rpms with max boost pressure at 0.85 bar (you can really feel the turbolag). The v6 delivers 350Nm at 1900rpms, and around 315Nm at 1500rpms with max boost at 0.6 bar. Any questions?. 2.0T is a great engine, and I really like my Aero, but I am looking forward to switching for the v6 in about a year from now.
The size of the original 3.2 base Australian built engine is the same. The 2.8 has thicker intercylinder walls to withstand increased stress. And it is much smoother and potentially more powerfull than the 3.2 variant.
BTW the 9-5 Aero's 2.3T HOT has a max boost of 1.4 bar. Talk about stress... And imagine this kind of boost on the v6, compared to the original 0.6 bar... 350hp? or more?
