The XM Commander unit is wired through the center console tunnel and into the center armrest where the AUX in output is. The way mine was wired, you can unplug XM and still plug in your iPod. The alternative is to play it through FM radio (which is not the best solution). The magnetic antenna on the roof is conspicuous, but relatively unobtrusive. I wish the sharkfin could have been utilized, but alas-won't work with satellite radio (AFAIK).

Since the XM Commander unit takes up the spot where the storage bin/cigarette plug is, I had the dealer rig it to where I can still use the cigarette plug and plug in my V1 radar detector.

The Commander unit displays the stations, so don't expect it to appear in the SID. I do like using the remote to change the stations.
