Any suggestions out there for one who just wants long-wearing, quiet, safe for south Texas and yet sporty tires for her?...you wrote
I am going to get Goodyear F1 GS-D3 in about a month or so. I think they are more sporty and maybe not so long-wearing.
As far as long wearing, look at the government ratings for treadwear. A long time ago, they said 100 = 20,000 mi but now the government only says that driving habits vary. Still 200 is supposed to be twice as long wearing as 100. I think the OEM Pirelli P6 4 Seasons are treadwear of 400. I think the Goodyears are in the high 200's and Michelin Pilot Sport something is in the low 200's.
On the other hand, long wearing tires tend to be less sporty and (IMHO) a tad less safe.
