That number your showing on WIS is an MI#. Im just saying MIs and TSBs are 2 differant things. MIs are for recalls and campaigns. TSBs are general information to assist technician. And your right. SIs did become TSB. Thats because GMs version of WIS is called GM SI (9-7x uses SI). So I guess they didn't want us to get confussed when someone said SI.

Actually all the service writer needs to do it run the VIN# on IRIS and it will tell him if the car needs any campaigns or recall. It will even show the campaigns that are expired and have not been done by a SAAB dealer during the time period of the campaign. Unfortunatly A lot of service writers out there are lazy or don't know what they are doing. Thats why its always a good idea for the customer to ask to check for
recalls or campaigns. Luckely I work with a service writer who checks every car.
We usually don't use WIS much for campaigns, recalls or TSB info. A lot of info never makes it from IRIS to WIS. Or it takes years to make it there, so I always use IRIS. And now GM is slowly getting rid of any information on disc. We no longer have TIS2000 on disc. Its now TIStoWeb for updated software for the cars. And now they are getting rid of EPC (Electronic Part Catalog)disc for some GM/SnapOn online system. I'm sure WIS will go away soon and be integrated into GM SI system which is an online system.
