No, the Ultraguard tested was the A/C Delco UPFL400A Posted by MI-Roger [Email] (#882) [Profile/Gallery] (more from MI-Roger) on Tue, 3 Mar 2009 03:58:39 In Reply to: Re: This is at least a start........., simul8guy, Mon, 2 Mar 2009 18:23:30 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
This filter was marketed by A/C Delco as their premium offeirng, but their entire Ultraguard line was discontinued in late 2001 or 2002. Obviously this data is old which raises the question of whether the media in the other filters has changed since this testing was done.
I found another link with this same chart. The data was actually compiled by a SHO Tuarus owners club. The filters tested were the exact models which are the oversized filter choice for the 9-5 and earlier Saab engines.
I haven't checked Fram's website, but does Fram now market an Ultraguard filter? If so, is it identical to the old Delco Ultraguard, or are they using an old name trying to convince buyers it is a high quality filter?
