Thank you Anders - I do a fair amount of city driving and am a very spirited driver... the car is also an automatic therefor I don't get the added advantage of engine braking on down shifts as one would with a manual. Other than very good performance I am disappointed with Saab brakes. I had taken the car in for a 40K check up and discovered the front pads with very little pad left and the rears almost down to backing plate which didn't surprise me given prior length of service on the originals.
I'll certainly check with the service manager on the part number for the front pads. I thought that since the front rotors were not replaced or turned the new pads may be getting chewed up as they break in to the rotor surface causing extra dust.
