If you get new wheels and have new (and correct) sensors installed, it will work. Last year there was a parts number screw up by Tire Racks' supplier. Saabs and Lotuses all got the wrong sensors. It was inconvenient, but I got it all sorted out.
If you're not going to have sensors, then you will get the error message every time you start up. Don't expect much help from the dealer either because turning the TPM monitor "off" is illegal (I haven't researched that) or because they just don't know. They misdiagnosed my sensor part number problem and I had to sort it out myself with Tire Rack and the tire installer.
