Hey Everybody,

I appreciate the support and it helped me do some deductive reasoning to have the confidence to make the drive after clearing the codes and doing a test drive. The car worked fine for the whole trip, and I'll get it checked out closer to home.

There's one other minor thing that happens occasionally that could be a clue.. Once in a while in cruise control with a set speed, the turbo needle wavers slightly, seems to indicate the throttle position is fluctuating slightly too. I forgot to check my Scangage to see if the TPS value actually does go up and down, but it causes no codes.

I also appreciate the corned beef suggestion, but I've been vegetarian for 20 years. I think had heard of the place on Food Channel I think. It sure sounded familiar.

BTW, I calculated my fuel economy for the trip to be 31 mpg with air temp in the teens and snow tires on a loaded up car. Not bad at all.

Happy New Year, good to be back home where my still in warranty 2008 9-3 Aero SportCombi is sitting.
