I had a 2008 in the shop late last year with a misfire on cyl #5. Replaced the coil and spark plug. cleared code. Car ran fine on test drive so I let the customer have it. A few days later it came back with same misfire. After talking with SAAB Tech assist, they had me checking a junction the injector wire harness under the intake and then told me to check the roller rockers under the cam (between the hydraulic lifter and valve). Sure enough, when I had the intake off and cranked the engine over, only one of the intake valves moved on cyl. 5. When I pulled the valve cover off (not a fun job) I found one roller rocker laying in the bottom of the cylinder head. SAAB Tech assist didn't give any reason for this, they just told me they have seen a few of them. So if anyone has a misfire after coils are replaced, and everything else looks ok,it may be a good idea to pull the top intake off and see if all the intake valve open with the engine turning over.
