First, check to see who underwrites the warranty. If it is not Saab and Saab goes out of business, doesn't matter. On the other hand, Saab is probably more stable than some small warranty company.
My guess is that Saab is the bulk of Spyker so they will fight tooth and nail to survive. Saab to GM was just a tiny, tiny subsidiary. GM sells 2M cars in the US so 20,000 is nothing.
Last week, I saw a Peugeot 505 on the road. They haven't sold those in the U.S. since maybe 1990. So trying to survive 2014 on a Saab is nothing. I wouldn't sweat it. I have more confidence in Saab than I would if I drove a Chrysler PT Cruiser, Chevy SSR (or whatever than fancy retro pickup truck is), or a Honda S2000. Those cars are no longer made.
