As a test it might be ok to run straight wires but I think for the final repair I would scavenge a run of twisted pair from a junk car to be safe.
Do you remember the 9000 bulletin from decades ago when repairing ABS wires behind the false bulk head and it stated to be sure you twisted the wires back up before finalizing the crimps.
Back then I was like, why??? Now with the network cars and sensitive signals going back and forth, you better keep those wires twisted.
