My driver's does that, passenger does not. Passenger will not move back/to the rear, unless you lift and hold before you tilt the backrest back to normal position. I maintain both sides should operate the same. Dealer now says no, because passenger has no memory. Some safety concern, don't want to accidentally have someone raise lever and crush rear passenger. And, dealer has twice adjusted passenger side to operate like driver's, and once actually did it. Did not last long.
Any of you technicians out there have access to official service instructions? Owner's handbook says nothing about one side being different from the other.
