Buying an emergency key blank on Ebay.

I just wanted to post a note here to anyone who may be looking to by a replacement uncut emergency key blade for a 2003 or later 9-3 - the key that only opens the door and fits inside the key fob.
I just bought a replacement blank on Ebay for $17. When the key arrived, I noticed that it was slightly different than the ones that I currently have. The wider area of the key portion - from the rubber/plastic end until it narrows - was actually longer than on my original key. Also, the blank key had a grove cut in the center from the key end approximately two-thirds of the way up the blade - my original doesn't have this groove.
I took it to a locksmith to see it they could cut it to match, but they couldn't.
I stopped by my dealer last night. The Part's Department manager told me that the emergency keys were changed for model year 2008 (I have a 2009). The blank I described above is for model years 2003-2007 only.
Of course, the Ebay ad (along with several other Ebay ad's selling the blanks), said this was for ALL 9-3 models.
Just a heads-up for anyone that may be thinking of a replacement key.
