The Trionic 8 engine management system used with the 2.0T engine in the 9-3SS family is very intolerant of changes to the inlet air system. I think there are only two after-market "upgrades" available which do not result in Check Engine Lights.
I can't remember the brand and model names of the two systems that are reported to work most times, but the trouble is probably not worth any benefit.
