I agree with your take on the p zeros, but my g force were made in the usa, at least they say that on the sidewall! Mine are the 225/45 17 though, I can't imagine they make the 18 over there. Anyhow, if bf goodwrench is lying about it's tires, shoot me a think. Being in criminal law, I wouldn't mind a little civil work too!
Speed rating, in my uneducated opinion, doesn't really mean a lot in terms of top speed cause you can't get these things over 150mph (142 is my top speed), but z rated tires do have super thick sidewalls, which is awesome. But, no sense in overkill!
I drove a week on a flat p zero cause the sidewall was so thick it held up the car. I noticed the problem when driving home and the car was ' drifting' to one side with speeds in excess of what I care to mention. So, unless you are a moron like me, z's are overkill!
