The only issue I am aware of regarding the 9-5 sub-frame is a short span of model years, maybe 2004 and 2005(?), where the bushings were too soft. Avoid the affected years, or have the bushings replaced with the better ones, and the 9-5 is a high mileage cruiser with great performance.
We also own a '06 9-3 and have had zero problems other than a Special Warranty replacement of broken front springs.
