CEL after 5 weeks sleeping Posted by Baron [Email] (#495) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Baron) on Fri, 15 Jan 2016 10:35:44 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I just got my 2007 9-3 convert back after almost 6 weeks in the shop. It had been front-ended (someone backed into me). The damage was largely cosmetic, xenon headlamp assembly and reprogram and replacement of the AC condenser.
After a day of normal operation I took the car on the highway this afternoon and on acceleration there was a mild thump and check engine light came on.
With it having sat idle most of the past 6 weeks, and much of it outside I suspect it could be a sticky range switch or something that may clear within a few days of normal starts. I have not pulled the code yet.
With CEL on acceleration is poor, turbo does not come on and transmission shift is odd but working. Engine is still smooth.
As a sanity check should I just pull the code and it may clear after some normal use??
Thanks for any guidance.
