During the time in mid-March that I was trying to trouble-shoot my parasitic draw issues, I stopped in a grocery store after about a 15 min drive. I assumed that the battery was then fully charged. After less than 20 min, I returned to the car and the battery was dead. I got a jump and drove home. This had occurred previously in early February but AAA said the battery tested OK. So I take the car to my indy, which is about a 10 mile drive, and left it. When he went to start it 45 min later, it was again dead. The diagnosis this time was that the battery was unstable and in fact responsible for the parasitic draw, which they measured at more than 4 amps (not mA). The battery was less than 1 year old and was replaced at no charge. The problem seems to have been resolved, but like everyone, I am not driving much during the COVID-19 lockdown that we are experiencing.
