I have a Saab 93, 2006,2.0T, auto.
I am in the process to changing my balance chain guide.
Wasn't able to remove the harmonic balance pulley even with a "Chrysler harmonic pulley" puller. It just moved a bit.
Very easy to get in with the long bolt but unable to remove it.
I unscrewed all the timing bolts cover, took the puller and the cover went.
Pulley was still on. I removed the back of the timing cover to see what's going on and nothing, the pulley is just stuck to the gear.
I took some pictures. I was able to remove the puller with a mass and a socket.
I have to order another pulley because this one was broken while using the puller.
The question is, should I buy a new timing cover?
I remember the first time I removed the pulley about 2 years ago, it was so easy, just with my bare hand.
I changed the front seal, inserted the pulley and turning it to insert the key. Went in all the way in but I could not remove it. Very strange.
The shaft comming out of the engine with the gears look good.
Thanks!
Michel
