Not certain that they are related, but I am trying to sort out a "stumble", "cut" at about 1200 - 1600 rpm when accelerating. Turbo gauge is spooling, then it will "stumble/clunk/cut" once (or up to 3 times) then as rpm gets up it will stop, and run fine.
I suspect it is also running rich, I am seeing black soot on the tail pipes. MPG has been suffering too (compared to 8 months ago). The "stumble/clunk" has been getting progressively more frequent over the past several months. It is nearly reliably occurring now on any acceleration.
Since I took possession about 9 months back I have had a ME9 P0449 Evap Canister Close DTC.
Digging around the board, I see mentions of replacing the EVAP canister purge valve helping. As it is tucked back there I wanted to get some input before I dig in there. With the P0449 maybe it is the electrical connection to the purge valve?
I see I can get original AC Delco / Bosch 12611801 valve on Amazon or Ebay, but my regular eeuro go-to doesn't seem to stock it anymore.
