I will have time in the coming weeks to take the trunk apart to look at the pump. The lines are all 20 years old so I supposed it is possible that it is just the lines. I had been assureed by my Saab mechanic that is was in great shape but there were a bunch of things wrong with it that were not obvious until it gort more use that it had been getting. If I thought it I could figure it out, I would just replace all the lines. But that seems just about as complicated as replacing the cylinders. In the end if I am in there replacing the lines I probably should just replace the cylinders also so it is done. My father-in-law just gave my wife a 1973 MG Midget he restored for her so I may enlist his help. Honestly what worries me the most is the fasteners. Someone who worked on my 9-5 wagon pulled the handle above the drivers head off and screwed it back on with only one screw and the other screw wash something they just stuck in there. Now I am on the hunt for a fastener to put the semi broken handle back in place. If I knew I could get replacements for every fastener I would loose or break during the the replacement of theroof hydraulics, I would definitely do it myself.
