Thanks. I'm not a mechanic. I did find out the 'dealer' will take care of it properly for me. They sell the pump with the needed pulse valve in a kit. The 'dealer' will take it from there, and I assume will alter the fuel pump and add the pulse valve.
I called Hedin Parts in PA which I didn't realize bought Saab USA parts a year ago. They are a large company out of Europe with several offices in the US. I spoke to Stephanie and she was really helpful.
What I don't understand is what makes my dealer - 'B & B Saab' in Sunnyvale - a designated 'dealer' in their world? There's no more Saab Motors in the US. Is GM behind this? I thought after 10 years they were out. Maybe we're still in the 10 year section?
Is this all based on existing relationships, or is there a legal entity behind the scenes who decides who is a dealer and who isn't?
