Paint Quality seems poor

I bought my 2000 9-3 Cvt in July and noticed more than usual paint chips all over the car. Who knows how it was driven before, but I looked at several other Saab Cvts before buying this one and they all suffered from bad scratches, chips in the paint and uneven color.
I asked the dealer to do some touchups in its first service and they made it worse than it was.
Fortunately, the car is silver so it's hard to see. I'd die if the car was a dark color.
I have to say overall Saab paint seems to be the worst. I have a 99 BMW and a 2001 Jeep and the paint on both are great (well the BMW isn't so great either, but it's dark blue). My Jeep, for being driven hard in New England winters has perfect dark blue paint.
Go figure...
