I actually got a letter/memo from SAAB USA regarding a class action lawsuit and how to obtain reimbursement for the wheels and tires.
The expiration date has long since passed however and I don't believe it's SAAB's fault - any low profile rim is prone to damage - especially if you live in an area with bad roads.
I made it 3 years with only 1 bent rim in the terrible DC area. I too thought about upgrading all 4 to something stronger, but I like the look of the 5 spoke OEM rims and they're easy to clean. I'm just going to get new tires when my current set dies (SOON) and updgrade them to a 225 vice 215 sidewall for additional rim protection.
If you have them refurbished, they won't match the original color so keep that in mind. They'll be more of a flat silver - almost a grey color as opposed to the original shiny silver. SAAB won't release the paint code, so the match won't be exact.
