Can't say how fast days and % count changes - did not pay attention, was just waiting and waiting for time for service to come up. When the picture of the wrench showed up with a message "time for intermediate service", I had 6 or 8 % oil quality and somewhere around 180 days left. I am not sure what SAAB is using for displaying those numbers, but it could be that some "psychology" is involved here. Would you like to see something like 0% oil quality and 0 days to service left when SID tells you it is time to service the car? I would panic and park the car until oil is changed. Just a thought.
If I understand correctly, oil quality is calculated based on the cold starts, driving patterns, etc – that could be displayed in %. At the same time there could be a default oil lifetime of 2(?) years, for cases when the car is sitting in the garage, therefore “days left”. I would think “days left” is reduced than car is driven.
Sorry for rambling...
