About a year ago, my indie put a red DI in; I think he was trying something tricky with the core charge on dead black DIs (there is no core charge on the red DIs, so I'm thinking he tried to get that $$$ and pocket it). I no longer get service there.
Anyway... my 9-5 ran fine with the red DI cassette in there - everything worked just fine. In the end I just felt more comfortable (as I'm sure most everyone on this msg board is) with the black DI cassette in there, so requested he swap a black one in, which he did for no charge.
