Hi. I am looking for a Saab Wagon and have found 2 cars that I find very appealing. I am not sure which to go for and I need some advice.

Car 1:
2001 9-5 Wagon with 48500 miles. It is being sold by a dealer (with a good rep). This Wagon is off lease, they have the paperwork documenting all the major servicing. It is sun green with Biege. This car seems to be in excellant condition other than some large scratches on the front right bumper and rear left bumper. This car has the option of getting a Saab extended warrenty (extra $2500) and has been thorougly checked out by a Saab mechanic.

Car 2:
2000 9-5 Aero Wagon with 44000 miles. It is Black with grey leather. It is being sold by a private party and is also in very good condition. It has had one owner it's entire life and also has service records. No option for Warrenty here. This car has the appearance of being maintained very well by its owner. I have not yet taken it to a mechanic

Car 2 (2000 Aero) will be about $500 more than the Car 1 (2001 9-5).

I am wondering which car would be best in the long run, and for resale if we choose to turn it over down the road as our family grows.

Any thoughts?
