Hey everyone. Thanks for your posts over the past week. I am bringing in the 2000 Black 9-5 Aero Wagon for a pre-purchase inspection tomorrow. It has 44K miles. It is in very good shape (not excellant) has the BBS wheels and everything seems to run good. The miles are divided between highway and city. This car was driven by the wife, but I do know that when the husband drove the car he always had it on sport mode. Would that hurt the engine to do that too much? Anything else I should check before I make an offer? They have good service records. The car has never seen snow and has had one owner. It is no longer under warrenty and since it is from a private seller, there is none being offered with the wagon.
Also, and maybe most importantly what is a fair market price?
Mike helped answer this a bit, but I think since I have more information at hand now, I would ask again. I would like to make sure I don't overpay as I think it is a bit of a buyer's market out there and although I have done some research, I am not an expert. Has anyone bought or sold a similar car recently that can give me a ballpark for a price that the car is worth from a private seller?
Thanks
Max
