Here are a few products that I have used. URL's are below. Some are available thorugh local car care shops and are easily found at speciality detailing shops, or via catalogs/Web.
The Meguiar's product seems to work best on smoother surfaces, but tends to leave a shiny look for a few days, great if that is what you like. It seems to have some sort of cleaner/solvent that removes wax on smooth surfaces.
The 3M product is basically a solvent, and will take wax, bugs, tar off anything. Usually safe on exterior parts. I'd be careful on interior plastics, and clear surfaces.
The last two products will work if the Meguiar's doesn't, they are like dyes, and work really well on older and rough surfaces that don't keep their color.
