Vikingman - you may want to question your contact a little more closely.

I have a case of "SAAB Turbo Oil", as sold by and used by Saab dealerships in the USA. I have a one liter bottle of it in front of me now. It says, in very clear writing, on the front "Semi-Synthetic" and on the back "Semi-synthetic engine oil for everyday use. Suitable for gasoline and diesel passenger vehicles, with or without turbo."

The bottle has a label in 6 languages with address and phone numbers for Saab in 6 countries (England, Norway, France, Germany, Sweeden and Finland) and the bottle is marked twice with the Saab Scania logo. The bottle does not mention the USA, any address in the USA or SaabUSA.

This seems to indicate that Saab uses Semi-synthetic, not full synthetic.
