Since you have a 99 9-5 I would find a shop (dealer or indy) that can check and maybe load a new software for the Trionic ECU that would help cope with an ailing throttle body.
The software specs in the 99 was too tightly set for when the throttle body potentiometers start to wear and it will trigger the limp home mode erroneously.
At some point and time, the throttle body will need to be replaced anyway since it is a wear and tear item of todays cars.
Also make sure that they cleaned out the throttle bore when they did the "adjustments".
