I am by no means an expert on this. My wife drives the wagon the most. I noticed the smoke one time a week after we bought the wagon (new)in August 2000. I was appalled but thought no more since it didnt continue. I did continue to watch for it. It didnt happen again until three months later. Again it was a large billowy cloud of blue white smoke. Both cold starts. No residual smoke, just one big puff. My wife had never seen it happen..."Why in the world would you look behind you when you started the car?"
At any rate I checked the board and then called the dealer. They scheduled the car in within the week and replaced the turbo. It's never happened again. Greentea-If you are getting a blue white cloud as often as you say I would, personally, be very concerned and at the dealer. AV- Dont you just love the wagon? I am amazed,I frequently get people coming up to me saying how nice looking the car is...a wagon! Think about that. Compliments on the styling on a wagon. I love it.
