Well that makes three of us with the same problem. I've been suffering for over a year with uncontrolled heat and lack there of from the driver's side vent. The ACC shows a Code "06", which signifies either low or high current to the stepper motor. This is different from but closely associated with the Code "08", which has been written about on this board.

I followed the instructions for the "08" problem - you can find these on this board. Removing the lower dash panel from the driver's side (3 torx screws and 1 plastic rivet), and lying on your back, you will see the stepper motor directly over the gas pedal. It has a 4 wire cable and a 2 wire cable running to it. Remove both of these connectors and move out of the way for safe keeping. The stepper motor is fastened to the heater box by 3 phillips head screws. Removing the screws, the stepper motor can be pulled out of the heater box. When you do this, you will see a small white arm, which acts to limit the movement of the stepper shaft. This arm breaks and causes the yellow (perhaps green) shaft inside of the heater box to shear. This is the Code "08" problem.

I removed my stepper motor last evening and connected it to the 4 wire cable. While holding the stepper in my hand, I pressed the "Off" and "Auto" buttons to force the ACC to recalibrate. I could feel the stepper start to turn then quickly stop. I surmise that the brushes in the stepper motor have worm out. Anyway, a new stepper motor goes for $160 - 180 from your Saab dealer. I ordered a used unit from Goldwing Saab for $35. I should have this installed by Wednesday night and will let you know if that fixed the problem.
